A. Michael Alabaster, MD - Urologist



Dr. Alabaster graduated magna cum laude from Memphis State University, and earned his MD from the University of Tennessee Medical Center at Memphis. He performed his internship and residency in surgery at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis before completing a residency in urology at the University of Tennessee, where he was Chief Resident from 1980-82. Dr. Alabaster is a Clinical Professor at the University of Tennessee Department of Urology and is board certified by the American Board of Urology.  He was involved in bringing the first kidney stone lithotriptor to Memphis, starting the cryosurgery program at Baptist Hospital and setting up one of the few U.S. HIFU (High Frequency Ultrasound) prostate cancer  clinical trials in Memphis.

Mark J. Saslawsky, MD - Urologist



Dr. Saslawsky graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1979.  He earned his doctor of medicine degree from the University of Tennessee at Memphis, and trained as an intern, surgical resident, and Urological resident at the Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago, where he was chief resident from 1987-88.  He performed the first laser stone case in the Mid-South and still has a continuing interest in treating kidney stones.  Dr. Saslawsky brought Microwave prostate thermotherapy to Memphis and supported minimally invasive technology in the treatment of BPH, female urology and the use of Interstim neuromodulation for bladder and bowel control problems. He consults with infertile couples and performs microsurgical vasectomy reversals.

Dr. Saslawsky is certified by the American Board of Urology and is a clinical assistant professor at the University of Tennessee Urology Department.

Gerald T. Dang, MD - Urologist


Dr. Dang was raised in Memphis, TN, and attended Harvard University. He obtained his Medical Degree from Tulane University in New Orleans. LA. He completed his General Surgery Internship and Urology Residency at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Memphis, TN. He joined Southeast Urology Network in 2007.

Dr. Dang performs Robotic Radical Prostatectomies with the DaVinci robot and Hand Assisted Laparascopic (HAL) kidney surgery. He is proficient in treating kidney stones, benign prostatic hypertrophy, erectile dysfunction, incontinence, and cancer of the prostate, kidney and bladder.

Dr. Dang  is certified by the American Board of Urology.

Robert Donato, MD - Urologist



Dr. Robert A. Donato graduated from the University of Virginia in 1992 and completed his medical degree at the Medical College of Virginia. He trained at the University of Tennessee and completed General Surgery and Urologic residencies in 2002. He has practiced urology in Memphis since that time and joined Southeast Urology Network in 2009.

Dr. Donato helped develop and establish the use of the daVinci Robot in the performance of Radical Prostate surgery  in the Mid-South. He has trained numerous local and national physicians in the advanced techniques of robotic surgery.  Along with his partners, Dr. Donato is involved in exciting, cutting edge research in Urology in the fields of enlarged prostate, prostate cancer, overactive bladder and other serious ailments.

Dr. Donato is certified by the American Board of Urology and is a fellow in the American College of Surgeons.
